School Experience Days

Trainees with the White Rose Alliance participate in a wide variety of school experiences during their time on the School Direct course.

As well as offering teaching placements, a selection of partner schools run ‘school experience days’ for the trainees each year. These days are placed strategically through the course to ensure trainees gain maximum benefit from the particular focus of each day & utilise key experienced and skilled staff from across our partner schools.

Focus for the trainee School Experience Days during 2017/18 will be AFL ideas, SEN, Classroom Management, EAL, Reflective Practise, Tracking pupil progress over time, Pastoral roles & responsibilities & Enrichment opportunities/trips. Trainees will also visit the Hambleton & Richmondshire Pupil Referral Service in pairs.
