Lead Partner Programme

There are different routes into teaching & White Rose Alliance is a Lead Partner working with accredited Providers.

This route into teaching is predominantly school-based with links to an accrediting university who provide academic support for the PGCE qualification and subject training. Thus, each White Rose Alliance course is run in conjunction with either Leeds Trinity University, Sheffield Hallam University or York St John University awarding successful trainees a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and 60 Masters level credits.

We truly believe that the WRA route offers trainee teachers outstanding training and support from current teaching professionals. Through research-led theory and practice from university academics, together with extensive classroom experience, we enable trainees to develop into the best educational practitioners they can be.

The lead school for the White Rose Alliance is King James´s School in Knaresborough.
