Thirsk School & Sixth Form
Thirsk School and Sixth Form College is an 11–18 mixed comprehensive school with 1050 students including 200 in the Sixth Form, and a small proportion of service children. We serve the market town of Thirsk and surrounding villages.
We are a school which is constantly seeking ways to improve further and we pride ourselves in putting people at the heart of what we do: both students and staff. Our principles are embodied in the phrase "Positive Learning, Positive People".
There is a strong sense of collegiality amongst staff and Thirsk is a good place to come and work. We are very pleased to have been recently described as a good school by Ofsted but now want to push on to be judged outstanding.
